About Margie

Combining interest is what works best for me from an artistic point of view. Travel and photography go hand-in-hand. When I travel, everything is fresh. I see everything with a new eye. When something is new, imagination is free to be. Photography captures what the eye sees, but imagination creates the finished product. Photography is not just a way to record a moment in time, it is a way to record an emotional concept of that moment. I enjoy using my creativity working with many different alternative processes to make those moments mine.

Margie McCullough was born in Columbus, OH, but has lived in Georgia, Indiana, Pennsylvania and California. She now resides in Beavercreek, Ohio, and New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

McCullough attended The Ohio State University and Wright State University, graduating with a B.F.A., majoring in photography. While at W.S.U., she was an installation assistant for the Barbara Kasten exhibit.

Margie worked in the Art Department at Wright-Patterson AFB, Rosewood Arts Center teaching photography workshops, K-12 Gallery (Famous Local Artist Series) and We Care Arts, leading workshops.
